There are different ways to become a member of the ADBA.
The membership year runs from January 1st through December 31st.

Festival Membership

The cost for this class of membership is $300.

The ADBA Festival membership class is for organizations that were formed for purposes of promoting one or more festivals or races. You must have an organizational structure including members and / or a Board of Directors. Your Festival or Event must be in the Midwest region of the ADBA.
ADBA Festival membership entitles the member to the following benefits:

  1. Ability to appoint one of your members to represent you at meetings of the ADBA General Membership.
  2. Ability to purchase discounted USDBF Group Liability Insurance, Event Insurance, and/or Directors & Officers Liability Insurance through the USDBF.
  3. Guidance on festival development.
  4. Link on the ADBA website to provide additional information about your festival or event.

Club Membership

The cost for this class of membership is $300.

The ADBA Club membership class is for Dragon Boat racing crews and offers the following benefits:

  1. Ability to appoint one of your members to represent you at meetings of the ADBA General Membership.
  2. Ability to purchase discounted USDBF Group Liability Insurance for your club and your club’s equipment. Also available is the Directors & Officers Liability policy through the USDBF.
  3. Provides eligibility for the club to participate in ADBA, USDBF and IDBF sponsored competitions. (e.g.: ADBA Regional Championships, USDBF Club Crew Championships, IDBF Club Crew World Championships)
  4. Provides eligibility for members of the club to try out for Team USA and allows them to represent the US as they participate in IDBF World Nations Championships.
  5. Allows members of your club to receive reduced pricing for ADBA sponsored paddler and coaching clinics.
  6. Guidance on club development.
  7. Link on the ADBA website to provide additional information about your club.

Vendor Membership

The cost for this class of membership is $300.

The ADBA Vendor membership class is for a commercial enterprise that makes, provides, sells, leases or distributes dragon boats, associated supplies, goods or services.  The ADBA Vendor membership class offers the following benefits:

  1. Ability to appoint one of your employees to represent you at meetings of the ADBA General Membership.
  2. Link on the ADBA website to provide additional information about your company.

Individual Membership

The cost for this class of membership is $35.

The Individual Membership class is for a person that is interested in participating in competition, training or promoting the objectives of the American Dragon Boat Association. Membership in this class offers the following benefits:

  1. Entitles the individual eligibility to try out and participate in Team USA competitions.
  2. Allows you to receive reduced pricing for ADBA sponsored paddler and coaching clinics.
  3. Is the opportunity to financially support the growth of the sport of Dragon Boat racing in the Midwestern Region (ADBA).
